PITTSBURG, Kan. — October 17, 2025 — Grey Snow Management Solutions was honored with the 2025 Governor’s Award of Excellence, the State of Kansas’ highest business honor, at the Kansas Department of Commerce’s To The Stars: Kansas Business Awards ceremony Thursday night at Pittsburg State University’s Robert W. Plaster Center.
The award recognizes Grey Snow for its outstanding contributions to Kansas communities, sustainable business growth, and leadership in advancing Tribal sovereignty through economic development. Nearly 500 attendees gathered to celebrate more than 400 nominees across 11 categories.
“Grey Snow and GeoProbe have dynamic missions and visions that align with our commitment to moving Kansas forward and supporting customers and communities across the state,” said Governor Laura Kelly. “Companies like these advance our state’s exporting efforts, contribute significantly to their local economies, and are more than deserving of these awards.”
In addition to the Governor’s Award of Excellence, Grey Snow Management Solutions received both the Northeast Kansas Regional Award for Retail/Service Business and the Statewide Award for Top Retail/Service Business, recognizing its excellence across multiple categories.

Grey Snow was represented at the ceremony by Board Members Annie Assefa, Dr. Karen Kissinger, and Phillip Simmonds, along with David Tam, Sara Santo, Missty Slater, Britni Beck, Kathy Gregory, and Peter Gregory, who accepted the awards on behalf of the organization.
Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of Commerce David Toland praised this year’s honorees, noting, “Kansas businesses are the backbone of the record-setting success our state has experienced over the last six years. All the businesses recognized at To The Stars exemplify our famous work ethic and determination, further solidifying Kansas as the best place in the nation to do business.”
The To The Stars: Kansas Business Awards celebrate companies, organizations, and individuals who contribute to the state’s economic vitality through innovation, investment, and community engagement. A record 431 nominees were reviewed and scored based on business expansion, employee development, and local impact.
